Improving protection of people and companies against terrorism. The new threat requires new initiatives fast.
Best Alert starts the Sky Marshal training, to guarantee safety in the air.
"The sky is not our limit", Jack Kantelberg (58), manager of best Alert, says. The Counter Terrorism Course has been introduced as well, with interest from 26 countries. The company security force improves the security of companies up to the highest level, including counter E-terrorism. The official learning plans for security managers, security officers and star bodyguards have been actualized completely against new threats. New initiatives are being prepared.
Visitors and guests of the "Nederlands Film Festival" (Dutch film festival) have already been able to see the best (personal) protection is safer for everybody in an atmosphere wich is found comfortable.

Immediately after the introduction of the Sky Marshal education, Best Alert received many reactions; more then 2500 reactions a week. In the mean time, best Alert has started the selection procedure and the first group of students will start at november the 20th 2001
The conditions of entry for the Sky Marshal education are among others:
Age up to 37, blameless behaviour, top condition, stress resistant, experienced in fighting sports, friendly personality, positive appearance, representative, loyal, social, good command of the English language.

The selection procedure starts with the first contact by phone (+31 499 375567, Netherlands) or by fax or E-mail. When a candidate makes a positive impression during the first contact by phone, Best Alert can invite the candidate for an admission interview at the college, for a mutual acquaintance, several conversations and a test. Best Alert will decide about admission and about the possibility of attending a career path.

The education of Sky Marshal consists of the following modules: steward, safety guard, personal safety guard, flight safety, airport security, shooting practice, unarmed defence, use of weapons, drills, counter terrorism, teambuilding, first reponse, team leading. The duration of the education will take a year an the lessons will take place on saturdays, by experienced teachers, from who some have worked as a Sky Marshal themselves.

Many people are interested in the education and the profession of Sky Marshal. Best Alert is approached for interview by countries all over the world. Most gratifying are the positive reactions from the world of aviation.

Every course-member of the Sky Marshal Course also attends the course fot special agent, so he or she can work as a public servant for the government, with special tracing-authorities

Airline companies know a passenger chooses for the airline company that guarantees the safety of the passengers most. Almost 100% of the passengers prefers to have Sky Marshals aboard and do not mind to pay 100 guilders more.

What does a passenger want? In brief, he would like to see a Sky Marshal in a special uniform who perceptibly is responsable for the supervision. The passenger wants to see the cleaners, the catering etc.. being checked, by the Sky Marshal. He or she wishes to see that the Sky Marshal is standing in front of the cockpit. And the passenger wants to hear the pilot say, "Welcom aboard, ladies and gentlemen, I am your captain on this plane. During this flight Sky Marshals will attend for your and our safety". Thus that is what a passenger want to see, hear and know.
